Horse-drawn sleigh ride

Magnificent teams of snorting horses are a tradition in Filzmoos. They belong to a mountain village like the snow and the pilgrimage church with the Filzmoos Baby. Such a trip through the winter forest to the Unterhofalm or the Oberhofalm or the Gsengalm is indescribably romantic.

Well wrapped in a warm blanket, your listen to the horses’ cosy rhythm, the crunching of the snow, and the swaying bells. Time seems to stand still when you can enjoy peace and tranquillity in the sunlight or under the gaze of the stars. Our team at the reception will be happy to make the reservation for you.

Horse-drawn sleigh ride from the town centre to the Unterhofalm or Oberhofalm:
  • Approx. 3.5 hours round trip incl. 1.5 hour stop
  • Minimum price: €200.00 for 1 to 7 people

Snowtubing

Snowtubing Below the Hotel

Snowtubing is one of the most popular activities at Neubergerhof – fun for both children (from 6 years old) and adults alike. The ride is pulled across the snowy meadow by a quad bike with a special rubber tube – a great activity for the whole family.

Note:
Please bring a ski suit, helmet, and ski goggles.

Meeting Point:
Directly at the Zwergerlskiland. Registration is required.

Important Information:
Snowtubing only takes place under optimal snow conditions.

Ski touring

For those who are already experienced in deep snow ski tours, you can expect wonderful deep snow or firm descents in a dreamlike mountain landscape around Filzmoos. In appropriate weather conditions, the guided Dachstein Glacier crossing is a great experience. This requires good stamina and a sure parallel swing using sticks on red slopes. We are happy to arrange the ski tour guide for you.

Fun sport snowbike

You can quickly and safely learn how to ride a snowbike on the slopes of Filzmoos. Sitting on a bike, you race down the ski slope. The bike doesn’t have wheels, but skis. Snowbikes can be rented in Filzmoos.

Curling

Curling has always been around in Filzmoos. This traditional sport is still popular and is celebrated in Filzmoos. There is a weekly curling tournament at Neubergerhof on our own track (if snowfall and weather allow). It's fun with mulled wine and motivated teammates!

... or you simply spend time together in the snow

  • Building a snowman or having a snowball fight with the kids
  • On a Zipflbob sliding down the toboggan hill at Neubergerhof
  • Winter hiking and walking in the Neubergerhof winter wonderland
  • Enjoying a fragrant coffee on the sun terrace
  • And much more!
