WASTL Outdoor Camp
Adventure, Nature, and True Friendships – That’s the WASTL Outdoor Camp.
Included for all children and teenagers aged 7 to 15, we offer unforgettable experiences in the heart of Salzburg – and starting in 2026, for the first time ever, also in winter!
Participants can look forward to a five-day outback adventure under the motto “Adventure & Friends” – whether they’re joining for the first time or are already among our advanced rangers.
New from 2026: WOC in Winter
Even in the colder months, it’s time to head outdoors! With a specially developed winter program, our WOC kids will enjoy games, sports, and fun in the snow – of course, in age-appropriate groups and with a strong sense of teamwork, all guided by our experienced WOC team.

Become a Ranger! Which Ranger Level are you?
The children in the holiday camp are divided into 2 age-appropriate groups with a maximum of 12 people. They are always accompanied by a guide from Mannitou Outdoor, which specialises in working with children and young people.
Depending on the age of the children, there are awards for all successful rangers at the end of each WASTL Outdoor Camp. Stars are awarded at a grand closing party, the graduates are celebrated and we review the week together!
A Glimpse into the Program:
- Rock climbing and rope courses
- Nature workshops, outdoor cooking, astronomy
- Creative workshops using natural materials
- Overnight stays in tree tents or tipis
- Archery, slacklining, and geocaching
In Winter:
- Building igloos
- Avalanche rescue training with transceivers
- Orienteering with map and compass in the snow
- Tracking animal footprints in the snow
- Snowshoe hikes
- Overnight stay in a heated tipi
- Winter geocaching
Marcello and his team
You can hear him laughing from afar and he is always up for some crazy nonsense. But Marcello also understands the pedagogical concepts behind his work like no other. He is keen to show the children how the flora and fauna work, what can be seen in the starry sky, how to make campfires and above all what cohesion, teamwork and real friendship mean!

The WOC takes place as part of a family holiday (hotel reservation with the parents) at the Hotel Neubergerhof in Filzmoos and is carried out in 2 age groups:
- 12 children in the kids group (7 - 10 years old)
- 12 children in the teens group (10 - 15 years old)
- All program blocks are run without parents
Together we master tasks corresponding to the age group. The outdoor and activity program is held daily in 3 blocks (morning, afternoon, evening) from Monday to Friday.
